A Recipe for Week 18!

It's my turn to set the Funky Fairy challenge this week, and I decided to give you a recipe!
I think it's amazing how many different results we get from using the same ingredients!!
So, here we go... and those all important ingredients are...

To use 3 colours ONLY
1 piece of ribbon

3 buttons...hand made OR the real thing

AND
to use a paper punch somewhere on your design!
I'm sure we must all have at least one of those...maybe more!! ^.^

Don't forget that everyone who takes part will go into a random draw to win a Funky Fairy download of their choice...and also, that there are some fantastic FREE papers available from the Inspiration Blog!

My three colours are blue, black and white...I have used papers from the Lagoona kit, 3 black buttons... each with a punched flower on top and a piece of ribbon down the edge ^.^

White Stazon & Acetate

I have just recently bought a white Stazon pad to use with my Stampin' Up kit.....and well....it is gorgeous!!! Yes...I know I need to get out more, but I just love the delicate look of white once in a while! ^.^

I have been making some demo Stampin' Up cards... and decided to have a play with some of the stamps with my white Stazon, on acetate!

I was really pleased with it...especially since acetate and my fingerprints don't usually get on too well ^.^

Week 17...We want to see your Drawers!!!

No, no, no....please don't start posting links to pictures of your washing lines!!! *.*
We mean...Drawers...for storage!! ^.^

Shaz set the challenge this week....
I thought we would do something a bit different for this weeks challenge. So come on ladies and show us your drawers...LOL!! Thats right...we wanna see your drawers.....handmade card ones that is!!!

She has put a fabulous tutorial on the challenge blog for you to follow here
And...don't forget...there will be a winner again this week who will be able to chose a Funky Fairy download of their choice! ^.^

Have fun ....

I have used Pale Lilac and Pale Green papers from the latest freebies available from our 'Inspiration' blog and lined the drawers with a paper design from the Do Ya Doodle kit. The scalloped edges were made with my Stampin' Up corner rounder and then doodled on...and the handles have been made with ribbon passed through a tiny coloured spring ^.^

Stars and Stripes...Week 16

Well, week 16 already!! And it brings us a theme of Stars and Stripes for the Funky Fairy challenge...set by Karen,
I was inspired by the new and totally fabulous Funky Fairy 'Girls and Boys' papers to set this challenge as Stars and Stripes. As always, you can use any papers and embellishments and you can make anything you wish: I just want to see stars and stripes in or on there.

I have had a busy week decorating and last night I finally found my craft desk...Yippee!!! So.... at midnight settled down to make my challenge card!! Then faced with a few PC probs I decided to use some papers I already had from the Funky Fairy 'Pink' and 'Perfect Pinks' collections...these are FREE papers BUT...as from today...there will be a weekly prize, for one person entering the challenge, to win a Funky Fairy download of their choice from the shop!! How fab of Shaz is that??!!!!!!! This week's winner will be chosen at random so well worth having a go!! ^.^

One for the Boys/Men...

This weeks Funky Fairy challenge from Lulu, is to make cards for the boys!!
'Your challenge for week #15, if you wish to accept it, (and why not? You're brave), is to design a MALE/BOY themed card.'

Having got four girls, it's not my usual thing so a good challenge for me!! Louise sent embellishments and images to the team so we all pretty much had the same to work with, apart from the papers.
Here are my efforts using the new 'BOYS' range of papers... except for the Pirate's sea, which is from the FREE 'Blues' set ^.^

I made Emily's hanging 'Birthday card' with some papers from the girls set and have also made this exploding box with ickle shoes in too ^.^

Anyone for Cricket??

This is a card I made for my BIL who is a little bit of a cricket fan...to say the least ^.^

The template was from a lovely lady on Ebay...and was easier than I thought it would be to make.

The front and edge of the card is real wood veneer

Birthday Thanks...

I just wanted to say a HUGE Thank You to all my wonderful and talented friends, who sent me such gorgeous crafted creations for my birthday a few days ago x x x
