Lots of Sparkle....

Hi all...
I'm back from duvet land!!! I have had a grotty week with a grotty cold, and not even had the energy to craft!!! *Gosh*
So thinking I ought to put that to rights, here is a card that I have made this morning for the Cute Card Thursday challenge this week...whose theme is 'Lots Of Sparkle' ...
I made this using the 'Blue Christmas' papers from Funky Fairy's Papercrafts...but printed them onto a pearlised paper to give it extra sheen. The Nellie stamp is one that I won from Sugar Nellie at the beginning of the year...and she is sitting on a 'Funky Fence', which is a stamp also available from Funky Fairy's Papercrafts. Oh and of course...lots of Stickles :0)

Ribbons & Lace # 34

Good morning one and all! Monday's here...and the weather is gloomy again!
But...on the bright side...it's Funky Fairy challenge time again!
This weeks challenge has been set by our fabby Ria - and she wants us to use Ribbons & Lace on our creations.

I made two things this week...
This card, which is very simple but, I thought quite effective...

and this one...a 'nappy fold' pocket thingy (technical term!) filled with sweets!

Both are made with papers from the FREE Valentine collection...available from Funky Fairy's Inspiration blog.

**Happy Birthday**

Happy Birthday Arty Girlz!!
It's their challenge blogs 1st Birthday this week...so the theme for this weeks challenge is..............Yep! Happy Birthday!! ^.^

I have done two cards...as I needed two!!

For this one I have used papers from a new blog - Summertime Designs - that I came across on my travels. There are some really lovely kits if you'd like a look :0)
I've also used a 'George' image, from the Dottie and George range.
I made this next card very simple...well...if you call 'having a paddy' with sheets of acetate and finger prints simple that is!!
It's just textured white card stock with a Large 'Funky Bloom' image stamped in Brilliance Gold, and a Happy Birthday sentiment from Stampin' Up! also in gold...then an acetate jacket stamped with the small Funky Bloom stamp in Cotton White Stazon...and finished with a piece of Gold coloured ribbon.
Simple...but I always love the effect of white on acetate :0)

Funky Numbers!!

WoW!! What a hectic week!!
Children back to school...family to stay...and ...Funky Fairy Challenges are back to weekly!! Yeahhh!! ^.^

This week Jozza has chosen the theme of 'Numbers' ...

This week I want to see numbers on your project - just one or lots, big or small it doesn't matter just as long as numbers feature somewhere on it :o)

I am really pleased with the result of my effort...even though it took me hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and........
I take my hat off to all you decoupage folks out there... my fingers are more than just 'a little' sore after cutting out almost 50 items!! *.*

All stamped images are from Funky Fairy's Papercrafts...as are the papers and numbers...In fact the only things that aren't FF products are the Prima flowers, the front page text and my doodles!! :0)

Funky Fairy's Back to school Challenge...

Hi all...
That's it! Summer holidays are almost over and it's time to clock watch once again!!

Well, for this fortnight's Funky Fairy's challenge .....apart from making yourselves a certificate for surviving another round of summer holidays.....I would like you to make something around the theme of 'Back To School' !!
It can be anything from an Inchie to a 12x12 scrapbook layout...a card, ATC, twinchy, fat page, mini book, something altered, something for a 'First Day' something for a 'Last Year' .... whatever springs to mind!

I made something that is very much needed in our house! I've lost count of the times letters have been dumped down somewhere and I haven't even read them.....and the times that someone tells you of a cookery class that they need ingredients for...in the morning!!! Yes...at 9pm as they are going off to bed and swear blind they told you a week ago!!
So here is a clipboard, covered with various 'One for the Girls' papers from Funky Fairy's Papercrafts. I've then made a pocket for letters to be put in and a notebook for notes...and even rolled up a piece of matching paper to put in the pen barrel.
The notebook is attached by two tabs made with the Stampin' Up! tab punch, so that the cover and pages can be lifted to write on more easily...
