Favourite Colour

This is the challenge theme at Secret Crafter this week. I have gone with Navy as I just love it ♥
It's quite plain as it's for one of my daughters' school friends who doesn't like fuss or girly!
I have used my Stampin' Up! So Swirly wheel to make the background paper.

Daisy May Secrets!!

Hi all...the start to another week and another challenge at Cute Daisy May!! The fabby girls there asked me to be a Guest Designer for 2 weeks...and now they've asked me to stay on as a permanent member of the team!!! WoooooHoooooo!!!

I've had a busy, busy day today and haven't had a chance to post on here...so sorry it's late!
I chose the theme for the challenge this week, and it's...' Secret Something' ...The idea is to hide something on your card, this could be an image or a message.
I hope you come and join us...we'd love to see your creations :0)
You don't have to use a Cute Daisy May image to join in (though it would be lovely if you had any) and you can combine challenges too. Here's my card...with a secret flap.

♥ Basic Grey - Textures

The challenge over at Basic Grey this week is...Textures!
''For this weeks challenge we would like to see some texture on your creations, texture can be achieved is so many ways, but to name a few to give you some ideas, how about heat embossing, dry embossing, flock, felt, glitter, glossy accents, the list could go on...''......
I was in much need of a new 'notebook'. Just for scribbling down things that my little brain cell can't remember on it's own. The last one ( a fabby pressie from Shaz) is full and now has sheets of paper folded up inside which keep falling out! So a perfect time to make a new one. I should have taken a 'before' and 'after' photo but I was busily sticking paper to the cover before I remembered! Doh!
Anyway...it was a 'reduced to 98p', stripy, hard covered notebook with heaps of pages in it...so hopefully it'll last me a while! :0)Papers - Basic Grey - Sugared
Lettering - Basic Grey - Sugared
Inside covers - Basic Grey - Two Scoops (thanks Shaz x)
Edges - Krylon Gold pen
Image - Sugar Nellie - Gorjuss Girls (thanks Tina)
Flowers - Prima

♥ With Love

This weeks challenge 'in' the Sugar Bowl is ... 'Mother's Day' ... As Mothers Day here in the UK falls on March 22nd this year, please make a card (or other craft project) for a Mother. This does not have to be specifically a Mothers Day card, just something, you know, that a Mother would love!

I have to be honest and say that I have already made my Mother's Day card for my Mum...so... this is something that 'could' be used for a Mum...or indeed a special person! Hope that counts xI have used paper from DCWV 'Once Upon A Time'. I know...I know... how could I you ask?? :0) Well...as I said...it's for someone special so it's ok! It didn't hurt a bit! And in any case there's still another sheet of the same design...Phew!! :0) It is such beautiful paper that I haven't gone too mad with embellishments as the paper says it all really :)

♥ Blue & Brown...

The challenge at Colour Create this week is to use Blue & Brown. The extra option was to use lace and pearls too...however the brown lace I have was a bit too wide for what I wanted and the pearl is gold! In my 'land' gold comes into the brown colour family, so hopefully it'll pass the test! ^.^
I have used my sewing machine again...and one of the 'Gorjuss Girls' stamped images that Tina kindly sent in her parcel...I just love these girlies xPapers - I don't know, sorry!

♥ Pretty Patchwork!

Ok...own up!! Who pinched the last few days??!! I can't believe it's Friday again!!
I must confess that some of yesterday afternoon and evening was spent 'playing' with all the wonderful goodies that I won in Tina's blog candy...but I've no idea where the rest went! :)
Tina also sent me an absolutely stunning card that she'd made...and inside were some 'gorgeous/gorjuss' stamped images! :) It really made my day...well, week actually, so once again...Thank you Tina xx
The card that Tina sent, inspired me to get my sewing machine out! Something that I've been promising myself to do for errrmmm...months now!! Whilst I think I need a few hours of practising straight lines...I am quite pleased with the result so far! :0) This week over at Daring Cardmakers the challenge is to make a card inspired by 'Patchwork'. Now I'm not totally sure that this will be allowed but... I did think that the background paper sort of resembled patchwork...and plus my new found love of stitching helped with the look too!
This card also fits with the challenge at Charisma Cards this week (I hope!!) ...of 'Pretty Cards/Pretty Cards for Mum'Papers - Funky Fairy's papercrafts - Feeling Fruity
