Tattered Lace Challenge Blog Candy!!

I'm back again!!!
I'm back to show you what I made today using the Tattered Lace Lavish Blooms Poppy dies and Lavish Leaves.... AND....if you're still with me at the bottom of my post...An EASTER SURPRISE awaits you!!!!! ;)
Our challenge this month on the Tattered Lace challenge blog is for your project to include Lavish Blooms...and there is still time for you to join us! :)
For those of you who own any of the Lavish Blooms, you'll know that each of the flowers have three dies to them...and they're a good size! Well, I decided to see if they'd cut shrink plastic...and in what kind of detail!! I was pleasantly surprised...the large and small plain ones cut brilliantly as expected...and the middle sized fancy one...also FAB!!
I think if I'd given them an extra shim and another pass they would have cut all the intricate pieces right out...but...I didn't think they'd heat so well then, so I left them as they were. I coloured a couple of pieces of scroll work and the centre with Copics...shrunk them with my heat gun...and voila!! Gorgeous little flowers!!
The large plain Poppies I flicked with a Copic from the centre out...shrunk...and then blotted the back of them with white acrylic paint.

What other perfect accompaniment for these scrummy flowers, but the very lovely brand new Basket die...also from Tattered Lace. I cut two from Kraft cardstock...leaving one of them 'as was' ...and triple embossed the other with pearlised embossing powder. I then layered the embossed basket on top of the Kraft one (slightly offset) and filled it with flowers and leaves...attached them to my circular easel card and added finishing touches of ribbon...a shrink plastic bow (die comes with the basket) and a shrunk fancy poppy as a stopper.

Now....the Easter Surprise bit....
If you would like to make some of these flowers...you'll need the Lavish Bloom dies!  Don't have them???
Do not worry....you have the chance of winning them!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes...I know!! Exciting stuff huh?!!!

I have been allocated a set of Lavish Blooms as Blog Candy!! One lucky winner will receive

This...is Tatty Twinkle!!

Hi all :)
Just nipping in with a super quick post as I can hear my bed calling!! :)
I've finally got around to having a quick play with Tatty! Isn't she wonderful? She's so ....tatty...bless her :)  Coloured with Copics...and a brush of sparkle just to make her feel special :)

My new Cinch (book binding machine) from We are Memory Keepers arrived the other day too, so I just had to have a quick play.
I covered/decorated two pieces of mountboard...cut some pages to size
...made the holes and then added the wires. Made a tiny Tatty from shrink plastic as a dangly charm...bound the book and added heaps of colourful ribbon to the wires to finish :)

Look...even her little shoes are tatty...bless her little cotton socks :)
Well...that was my flying visit for today...I must away to my bed. But I'll be back tomorrow with something a little less tatty!! ;)
Night all xx

On your Wedding Day.....

Where has the first week of the Easter Holidays gone?? ...the last day of term seems like yesterday!!  Having said that, my poor Daisy has spent all of that week poorly.....not good having to use your school hols to be ill!!! Hopefully next week she'll be better :)

Today I'm sharing with you a wedding card and matching candle. I was asked to make these for one of the members of staff at the school where the girls used to go...and I spent soooooo much of my time too!!! :)  I decided it needed to be a bit special...and big enough for all the staff to sign!

Mission accomplished......
I made a gatefold card which had a 12" base and 6" folds. These had acetate 'windows' so that you could read the message and their details with the card closed....
I then needed to make a box for it to fit in!!
...and this is the matching candle...
The centre of the card which held it closed....
(and in the true colours )

I wish Rachel & Sam all the best for today.....
.....and forever  ♥
